MEG LUBEY

Other People Fund t-shirt designer, Meg Lubey is an artist from Buffalo, NY and is currently studying painting and creative writing at the Cleveland Institute of Art. Meg works in a variety of media such as spackle, acrylic, oils, pastels, found objects, and recycled fabric. Through this media Meg explores past experiences tied to sexuality, girlhood, gender performance, shame, comfort, and object. Meg's work has been shown in group exhibitions, Push and Pull at the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, NY and Coveted at Kaiser Gallery in Cleveland, OH. Meg has been awarded both the Gund Family scholarship as well as the Brenda Fuchs scholarship and recently had two poems published in Stone Fruit Zine’s fourth issue, Ritual.
